BT Broadband and BT Mobile customers can get online for free at 5 million wi-fi hotspots in the UK and 13 million worldwide.
I am a BT Broadband customer and thought it would be useful to download this app to my Samsung phone so I can connect to BT Wi-fi hotspots with a mimimum of fuss when I am out and about. However, I am having problems with the app when I am at home and my phone is connected to my Home Hub.
For tablet users the easiest way to do that is via the BT Wi-fi app, which is available on Apple, Android and Windows tablets.

All you have to do is download the app and enter your BT ID. The app will verify & save your BT ID, meaning that you should only have to enter them once. Whenever you are then in range of a BT Wi-fi hotspot the app will then automatically connect you. Simple.

Launching the app
Step 1: Get your BT ID handy
Have your BT ID & password handy. If you don’t have a BT ID, set one up here www.bt.com/btid. Alternatively, if you can’t remember your BT ID or password, go here for a reminder www.bt.com/password
Once you’ve created your BT ID, open the BT Wi-fi app.
Step 2: Open the app
The first time you open the BT Wi-fi app you’ll need to enter your BT ID and password. You only have to do this once. This is the same username and password you use to access your BT services via My BT. Uc browser apk download mini.
Step 3: Connect to a BT Wi-fi hotspot
After successfully entering your BT ID and password you’ll see a screen showing the types of wi-fi network you can use the app to connect to. These include: BTWiFi, BTWifi-with-FON and BTOpenzone. Apple and Windows users will need to leave the app, go to their wi-fi settings and connect to one of these networks. This will only have to be done once and the app will automatically connect when in range of a hotspot thereafter.
Step 4: You're connected
Return to the BT Wi-fi app to complete the connection tutorial. You will now be connected if you are in range of a hotspot.

Complete the mapping tutorial and use the hotspot map to find your nearest BT Wi-fi hotspots. Tap the magnifying glass and enter an address or postcode to find hotspots in any UK location.

Step 7: Update your user details
You may, in certain instances, need to update your BT ID. You can do this within the Help & Settings section. If you have changed either your BT ID or password via BT.com, please make sure to update them in the app too through Update Log-in details.
It’s also important to do this if you think your BT ID username or password might have been compromised. Change your account details at www.bt.com then open the BT Wi-fi app and follow the same process as above. If you don’t do this you won’t be able to continue using your BT Wi-fi app to get online.
